Making the Most of Your Break

Christmas break is right around the corner, and it’s a great time to relax and recharge for the upcoming semester. Here are some tips on how to make the most of this time and to get geared up for an awesome 2018!

Create – Enjoy some arts and crafts, try out a new recipe, or take a new class on something! Get those creative juices flowing and find some inspiration.

Family – Regroup with your loved ones and spend some quality time together. Get coffee, share stories, go out for food, do an escape room. Remember what’s truly important.

Journal – Take some time to reflect on your semester. What were your goals? Did you accomplish them? What were your frustrations? How about successes?

Organize – This can be incredibly calming. Sort through your desk drawers, supply closet, and planner. Starting the new semester off with a clean slate is a great way to set yourself up for success and keep the soothing tones from winter break into effect.

Pamper – Get a massage, take a bubble bath, do something to treat yourself!

Plan – Create a to-do list for what you would like to accomplish, and assign tentative dates for these goals.

Read – Whether it’s a blog or novel, find something that is engaging or inspirational for you.

Relax – Nap (or hibernate), yoga, hiking, video games, binge-watch Netflix, no shame!
