Fire safety and fire prevention is important information for students to know and understand. Preparing students for what to do in case of an emergency can be life-saving, and it is imperative that students retain this information. October 8 – 14 is Fire Prevention Week, so take this time to go over what students need to know.

Topics include:

  • What number to call in an emergency
  • What to do when there is smoke in the house
  • What to do if their clothes catch on fire
  • Preventative measures
  • And more

Apperson has created a fire-specific assessment solution to assess the students’ knowledge before and after the curriculum is taught to ensure students are grasping the life-saving information. We developed custom pre- and post-assessment forms specifically for Pre-K through 5th grade. These forms are scanned with our DataLink 3000 OMR scanner, on which you can learn more here. The data is captured by our custom software, which you can then use to show growth in student knowledge from pre-test to post-test.

Student safety is important to us and we can help you teach and collect the necessary data on your students. If you already have another method implemented in your school – great! The most important thing is that your students understand this information so that they are best prepared in case of emergency.
